The Best New Family Destinations in 2018
What is better than going to a resort during your summer vacation? Well, I know that I love seeing the words all-inclusive included in any resort package. That makes everything seem so much more delightful, especially when you have young children.
Several places I’ve found opening this year include Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa which started in January 2018 in the Dominican Republic. If Mexico sounds more like the place for your family, then I recommend checking out The Sunscape Star Cancun. This all-inclusive resort opens in December 2018, so you have to wait a while if you’re looking for a summer vacation this year.
I know that not every family can easily travel outside of the US for a vacation. So I’ve come up with some ideas that are much more local. For instance, I know that California has tons of incredible festivals all throughout the year. There are plenty of summer festivals, such as the L.A. Roadsters Show or even the Orange County Fair both of which are great festivals for the family this summer.
If festivals aren’t your thing, then there are plenty of other family-friendly attractions and destinations in California. If you want to discover some of these great new things in California, your best bet is to check out the video series Adventures in Kidifornia. Through this video series, you can plan a great vacation by discovering different activities your kids will love such as USS Midway Museum, and you can go whale watching, visit the Old Point Loma Lighthouse and more!
More Family Fun in California
If you’re looking for some of the best new family destinations in 2018, then California has plenty of things for you and your family. I have personally selected some things that I think your family will love to experience this summer. I know my family enjoys fun in the sun on a beautiful beach.
If your family is anything like mine, then you’ll want to check out some of California’s great family-friendly beaches that you may not have discovered before. Try the peaceful waters of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Or check out Carmel Beach where you’ll also find great pet-friendly areas and the more secluded and beautiful places such as the Carmel River State Beach. Either way, your family is up for a great time.
Great Family Vacation Spots
California is great, but if your family wants to do some traveling to other states, then there are plenty of fantastic places you can go. Michigan may not be first in your mind when looking for a fantastic family resort. Be sure to check out Crystal Mountain. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for the family, including the Vertical Edge Climbing Wall, Disc Golf and Disc Rental, Mountain Crafts, and plenty more fun-filled activities.
If your family wants to stay in a hotel during your vacation, then you don’t want any boring hotel. You want to stay somewhere that’s just as fun as the rest of the trip. That’s why you should check out the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, Michigan, the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah, or even the Jekyll Island Club in Jekyll Island, Georgia. These, of course, are just some of the best family-friendly hotels you can check out during your vacation this summer.
Whenever my family plans a vacation, we try to pick fun new places we’ve never been to together. Of course, we also love the vacation favorites like Disney, Cedar Point, and plenty of other great amusement parks that the country has to offer. We also enjoy the fun and classic tourist destinations which include Central Park or even the Statue of Liberty when we visited New York, or Virginia Beach, and we’ve always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon. But we also know there are lots and lots of places we have left to discover. Many of which we have already mentioned.
If your family doesn’t want the same old family vacation or the same experiences that everyone has done, then try looking for the best new family destinations in 2018, some of which I have mentioned. If you follow these suggestions, then I can guarantee that your next family vacation will undoubtedly become the favorite vacation your family has ever had.
